Checking out KlipFolio.com today, it took me a few moments to realize why I thought something was different. The Google Ads at KlipFolio.com are gone!
It's a subtle change, but it makes the site cleaner and, especially on the Klip Info pages, it exposes the comments more than before (the Ads used to be just above the comments section).
It was a business decision to remove them and although I can't say for sure there will never be ads at KlipFolio.com, for now, they are gone.
Just over a week later, and the uptake of KlipFolio 3.1 is amazing. We're getting lots of new users, traffic is way up on our website (have you noticed it being a little slow... we have!), and we're getting lots of blog mentions. Again, thanks to all of our dedicated users who helped us test it while in Beta.
Now as you may or may not know, we've already started developing the next release - and it's going to be huge! Once again, we owe much of our future direction to the input we've received from KlipFolio users.

Version 3.1 is out the door . It's a great release - fast, stable and still under 1MB!
We've focused on performance and stability for this one. Based on the early feedback we're getting, it's paying off. But there's more to it than that---we've nailed a handful of small things, like finally hooking up the zoom-rate for Klips or fixing a bunch of bugs related to tooltips not appearing on top of Klips, that we think will really make a big difference for users.

We've released a beta of the next KlipFolio point release, 3.1. It's available for download on the forum.
This build has background image downloading (for faster, smoother tooltips), multiple preferences files (for faster I/O and better error resistance) and a handful of other improvements.
