Just in time for the holidays, CNET's Peter Butler picked up KlipFolio 4 Beta, and shares his thought on why he likes where it's headed.
"Klipfolio takes a minimalist and highly functional approach to managing and presenting the information that you want, with individual “Klips” that can be dynamically resized and are easily personalizable.
...most of the coolest features are on the back-end, enabling developers to do more with their creations. Among the new additions, Klips can now present maximized images, which has already resulted in the deadly time killer, Flickr Explore."

We're thrilled to announce that the first public beta of KlipFolio 4 is available for download! This is the most significant update to KlipFolio since version 0.8 was released (almost exactly) 5 years ago.
What's new in KlipFolio 4? For starters, you can now put your Klips into a sidebar. But it's not like other sidebars. With KlipFolio you can make your sidebar really, really small and still pack lots of Klips into it. And you can move it to the top of your screen and create a Klip Strip. If you want to, you can have a bunch of strips and a bunch of sidebars onscreen at the same time---great for über displays and multi-monitor setups.
KlipFolio 4 also gives you more control over how you organize and arrange your Klips. Klips can now be put into groups, and these groups can be moved independently of other Klips. Also, when you move Klips around or resize them, other Klips get out of the way. We call it Liquid Klips, and it's pretty cool.
There's so much more that's new in 4 that you're best off just going ahead and downloading it. Make sure you add some of the cool 4.0-only Klips, like the new system monitors, slideshow Klips and webcams.
