KlipBlogDashboards in The News: Klipfolio scoops competitionAug 14, 2008, by bogrady
Normally, we'd expect the dog days of summer to be fairly quiet on news for the enterprise. So imagine our surprise when two different dashboard web sites and a couple of blogs picked up on Klipfolio. First, the Dashboard Spy picked up on Allan's latest article. If you haven't read it yet there's a link on Serence's News page. It uses screen shots from real live enterprise workers to demonstrate the difference between knowing about your priorities, and promoting and track your progress against them on your desktop in real time.
Secondly, the editors at Dashboard Insight also took a shine to the article and published it too. The first has bigger screen shots and the second has a stronger conclusion to the article. If that weren't enough, this week KlipFolio has been covered by two blogs as well. The download squad came back to analyze KlipFolio and provided some heart-warming commentary as well as welcome suggestions. That post triggered another at startupmeme with the colorful title, "klipfolio Beats The Crap Out Of Windows Sidebar!!". We might have put it a little bit differently but the sentiment is nice.Brian BrianSkin Care for your Google Analytics dashboard: that's refreshing.Jul 10, 2008, by bogrady

Our Google Analytics Dashboard says "You need more staff!"Jun 20, 2008, by bogrady
Ok, the dashboard didn't say that in so many words. However, our continuing plan to tackle application-specific niches means we need some more help. KlipFolio for SugarCRM and KlipFolio for Google Analytics are two examples and there are more to come. If you can name a wildly popular web-based sales force automation tool, we can build a desktop dashboard for it. In this case, help takes the forms of Ed and Wendy who've joined our sales team, and we're thrilled to have them on -board. One of them will be following up with you when you ask for more info about our desktop dashboard for Google Analytics. For that matter, they'll be following up with you on KlipFolio Enterprise and other topics as well should you be interested. Part of the reason we need Ed and Wendy's help is that we've released a couple of cool new offers in support of KlipFolio for Google Analytics. First off, Allan put together a 2 minute video of a desktop Google Analtyics dashboard in action. Give it a try if you want to hear the soothing tones of Allan's voice emerging from your tinny computer speakers. Secondly, under the category of "show me don't tell me", we put together some Google Analytics dashboard screen shots to help tell the KlipFolio for Google Analytics story. Together these have helped to generate a fair bit of buzz and Ed and Wendy are busy talking to folks like you about Google Analtyics, SugarCRM, and branded desktop applications. We keep a steady stream of coffee flowing to their desks so don't be surprised if they sound a little hyper on the phone. It's not just their excitement over enterprise dashboards!
Visibility Now! Get Google Analytics on your Desktop.May 22, 2008, by bogrady
In case you missed it on our new home page, let me be the first to tell you... KLIPFOLIO ENTERPRISE for GOOGLE ANALYTICS is now AVAILABLE! If you're a metrics junkie like me, you'll want to download the free trial ASAP. I've been excited about this new use of my desktop dashboard since I tried the beta version. In short, I don't need to log in to Google Analtyics and dig for the stats I want anymore. Now they come to me on my desktop. This sounds like a small change but I dare you to give it a try and not fall in love. Having the KPIs in front of me all day is awesome. I can see my top keywords, whether my goals are trending up or down, how much traffic I'm getting and where it's coming from.....all right on my desktop.
How cool is that? I 've tried it as a sidebar and a bottom bar and right now I'm liking the bottom bar best. You can see all the details on our new KlipFolio for Google Analytics product page. But who supports the Help Desk?May 20, 2008, by bogrady
You only need to weather one call storm to understand why enterprise help desk teams often develop a siege mentality. While all these service desk pros are supporting regular users, who supports them? A couple years back the KlipFolio team decided that we do. And as it happened, quite a few of our enterprise dashboard customers now come from the help desk department. Interestingly, while they also use KlipFolio enterprise as a dashboard for their own metrics, what they really want is a fast and effective way of alerting employees to systems changes. It's a really good way of avoiding the call storms that make life difficult for the help desk team. Allan shared this message with the Help Desk Institute at its annual conference on May 15. The response was unanimously positive. But the high turn out at the conference left us wondering, if all the Help Desk staff were at the conference....who was answering the phones? Please contact your system administrator. Dashboard Spy uncovers new intelligence from SerenceApr 18, 2008, by bogrady
After the exposure his last article on the 3 rules of dashboarding got before Christmas, some media types were eager for more punditry from our leader. Rather than leave them hanging, Allan came through with some new thinking on why every enterprise wants KPI reporting on the desktop. The Dashboard Spy is the first media outlet to pick up the story. It's called “Drive Adoption and Performance from the Desktop: Innate awareness of performance hinges on unavoidable KPI reporting." There's a lot of $5 words in that title but give it a read and share your 2 cents on whether or not Allan got it right. KlipFolio Enterprise 5 has left the building!Apr 04, 2008, by Allan
Your inbox or our nifty new enterprise dashboard web pages may have tipped you off already. But if not, version 5 of KlipFolio Enterprise is now in general release. You personal dashboard fans are in for a treat too. We’re putting the finishing touches on the next version of the consumer version of KlipFolio as well. For more information, check out Jeremy's new feature posts on the KlipFolio forum. Allan High-Speed Development At SerenceMar 28, 2008, by bogrady
Sometimes even the most exciting desktop dashboarding activity needs a shot of adrenaline to keep things interesting. To that end, the Serence development team turned the computers off for an afternoon and headed for the track. The high-speed karting track that is. Nothing helps to sort out those persistent coding or feature debates among team members like cutting one another off in the corners at 75km/h! The crew at Top Karting have their own kind of business intelligence system to monitor race speed, lap time, and other variables. After a race you can compare your numbers with other racers. What they really need is a miniature dashboard on their karts so that you monitor those KPIs in real time and take immediate corrective action - like side-swiping the CEO on the straight stretch to slow him down some. Take that Allan! Heads Up! Changes are coming in Q1.Mar 13, 2008, by bogrady
If you’ve been following the discussion on the KlipFolio forum, you know Jeremy is rolling out fun updates to the personal version of the KlipFolio desktop dashboard. These include new layouts, features that help you find your favourite Klip items, and lots more.
