PNC is a highly diversified and growing financial services organization spanning the retail, business and corporate markets. To keep its employees informed, the bank developed its own Web-based dashboard that consolidates information from more than 200 data bases and displays key performance metrics. However, some employees, like Help Desk agents, required real-time data that was unavailable through the Web portal. Moreover, the help desk team needs to see the data from the dashboard all day long but the portal does not allow for this kind of persistent access. Finally, the full-size Web dashboard dominates the desktop work area that Help Desk staff need for their other tools and programs. To resolve these issues, PNC worked with Klipfolio to develop a Klipfolio Dashboard for Help Desk. The small desktop dashboard displays the real-time performance information Help Desk team members need on a compact display that doesn't interfere with other applications.
