This morning, I got an update notice for the FeedViewer. As always, I accepted it.

But right away, I noticed a bug which has been fixed some weeks ago. In one of my complex feed collections, there are empty lines showing up. See the screen shot.

First off, thanks so much for such a quick fix! Secondly, I'll monitor my pop-ups now and report here. So far the issue I mentioned hasn't came up yet: I always see news heading in a pop-up, not the RSS feed title. Just the way it should be.

So anyhow, I'll report in a few days and thanks again!

Hi whatulive4,

One possibility to explain what's going on may be the way your company's HTTP server is configured, specifically with regards to the ports that are used for SSL.

HTTPS (SSL) and HTTP use different ports on a server. If you try to connect via SSL (using https://) to a port designated for HTTP without SSL KlipFolio will not try to fall back to HTTP from SSL and will fail. So if port XXXX is the HTTP port, trying to use HTTPS through that port won't work.

If port XXXX isn't the SSL port for your company's server, try changing the port in your feed address to the SSL port. If your company's server uses the default SSL port, then try using "443" as the SSL port, or just remove the port from the feed address.

If the above is not the problem, how long does it take before you see the "Not a valid feed" error message? Is the error almost instantaneous, or does the Klip seem like it is timing out?

Thanks for letting us know about this. We've updated the File Monitor to correct the issue; please update your Klip (version 2.2 is the latest) and give the new version a try.

Hi whatulive4,

It sounds like the problem only happens when you have KlipFolio on autohide bars. We'd like to be able reproduce the problem in order to look into it, so if you could provide us with any information about your setup, it would be really helpful.

For example, do you have more than one group, maybe on different sides? Did you notice it happening at a certain time, such as when you moved the sidebar from one side to another, or from floating to side to autohide? Or maybe it was OK before but it was off the edge when you restarted? Or did you perhaps fiddle around with the Windows taskbar size/location? Anything you can think of, please let us know.

Also, does it fix itself if you move the Windows taskbar to a different side of the window and then put it back?

Hi TrueDis,

We just released an update to the Stock Tracker (both the one on KlipFolio.com and the new beta version) that should correct the issue with Dow never disappearing.

The charts stop refreshing in the Stock Tracker due to an issue with the way KlipFolio handles 304 notifications from images in some cases. We're working on a fix which should be available in KlipFolio 5.0, which is coming very soon.

Why does Klipfolio 5 do this? I believe it did it in previous versions as well. It makes favicons for my feeds look ugly because they're all stretched. I'm using the soft plastic theme, but it doesn't seem to matter which one I choose...
