The initial text "Please enter your login data into the Klip's setup." does not changes to "No new mail" when I have no new mail directly after filling my login data in the setup.
Other than that I like this klip a lot! For me it seems to work a lot better than the unofficial Gmail klip, which does not seem to remember when I set check time to every 5 minutes.
Also, this klip has a nicer icon! :-)

Open links in full Gmail interface

I'd like to see this klip open its links in the full Gmail interface.
At the moment it's opening the message in a separate document window, which causes the missing of some essential buttons like Report Spam etc.
Perhaps a configuration option to open links in full Gmail interface or not?

More refresh rates available

Hi,
I would like to be able to set the refresh intervals to 2-3 minutes. Either I can't find it anywhere or I don't know in which program to edit the code (I tried just notepad and the text was garbled). Now I use Gmail Notifier and it is still faster than the Klip Alert.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, we will look into all of these for the next revision of the Klip.
dakolo1 - You can edit the gmail.klip file with Notepad (or any text editor), and add a custom refresh rate to the Klip. See the variable "refresh_rate_array" as a starting point.

Doesnt Work

The Gmail Klip doesnt work for me anymore. It never tells me if I have a new message. If I refresh the Klip it still says I have no new messages.. If I double click it, it will go to my gmail inbox and then I see there is new mail in there. I'm going to have to go back to Gmail Notifier.
Removed Items appear again all the time

I use the "Remove All" option from the right click menu to clear this clip.
On every refresh all the removed items will appear again and KlipFolio will notify me over and over again for all my already read mails...
