*Note for Upgraders
KlipFolio 4 uses a new system, Liquid Klips, to help you arrange your Klips. On upgrade your Klips may move, and you may have to adapt your layout.
FAQs
- My Klips moved around after upgrading from 3.1. What gives?
Most users, on upgrade, will see their Klips move to a different layout. This is a side effect of the new Liquid Klips system.
- My carefully laid out bundles of Klips are gone. How do I get them back?
Use groups. See the next FAQ item.
- How do I create a group?
Drag a Klip away from the main bundle and a mini-toolbar will appear, creating a new group. You can now drag other Klips to it.
- How do I get rid of a group?
Drag all the Klips of a group to other groups. The empty group's toolbar will automatically disappear.
- How do I get started with a sidebar?
Simply drag a toolbar to the edge of your screen, or use the toolbar's "Layout" context menu item.
- How do I create a Topbar along the top edge of my screen?
Drag a toolbar to the top edge of your screen or use the toolbar's "Layout" context menu item.
- Can I have multiple sidebars at the same time?
Yes. You can have as many sidebars as you want on as many monitors as you want.
- I've lost desktop space and I can't seem to get it back. What do I do?
Unlock your Windows taskbar, resize it and move it to the edge of the affected monitor. That will force Windows to reset your desktop.
- Can I turn off Liquid Klip movement?
No. It's an integral part of KlipFolio 4.
- I found a problem with KlipFolio. How do I report it?
Either post a bug report in the Forum or send us an email.
- How do I go back to KlipFolio 3.1, with all my 3.1 settings, after upgrading to 4.0?
- Uninstall KlipFolio 4.0 (choose "Remove" during uninstall)
- Install KlipFolio 3.1. Do not start it.
- Use the start menu entry for KlipFolio to open the KlipFolio directory.
- Open the backups directory, then the directory with the highest 4-digit number (probably 5890).
- Copy the myklips and settings directories, and the preferences.xml file.
- Navigate back to the KlipFolio directory and paste the files.
- Choose "Yes to All" if asked.
- Start KlipFolio.
