The short answer

Klips or Microsoft Copilot?

Klips fits teams that want KPIs from across their business live on a shared dashboard, refreshed on a schedule, with unlimited users. Microsoft Copilot fits Microsoft 365 organisations that want AI inside Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, including the Analyst agent for file-based analysis. The two work well side by side: Klips for the always-on numbers, Copilot for the office work around them.

Choose Microsoft Copilot if…

  • YesYour team works mostly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
  • YesYou want an Analyst agent to dig into Excel and CSV files on request.
  • YesYou already license Microsoft 365 and want AI added to those seats.

What sets Klips apart from Microsoft Copilot

  1. 01

    KPIs from every tool

Klips pulls metrics from 130+ pre-built connectors, plus SQL databases and REST APIs, into one dashboard. Copilot works across your Microsoft 365 content, and its connectors mainly bring outside content into search and chat answers.

  2. 02

    Live before anyone asks

Klips refreshes each data source on a schedule, so the dashboard is current when the team opens it or glances at the TV. Copilot's Analyst works on the files you hand it, and scheduled prompts re-run a question rather than maintain a shared view.

  3. 03

    Unlimited viewers, flat price

Every Klips plan includes unlimited users, so the whole company and outside stakeholders can see the same numbers. Copilot is licensed per user, which makes sense for people doing the work but adds up for everyone who only needs to see a KPI.

Switching from Microsoft Copilot

  1. Step 1

    Put shared KPIs in Klips

Connect the systems behind your recurring metrics, including Excel and SharePoint files, SaaS tools and SQL databases, and set a refresh interval. Rebuild the calculations you keep asking Analyst for as Klips formulas so they run the same way every time.

  2. Step 2

    Share with the whole company

Invite everyone who needs the numbers at no extra cost, put dashboards on office TVs and share them to Slack. On Grow and above, add published links and scheduled email reports for people outside Klips.

  3. Step 3

    Keep Copilot for office work

Use Copilot for drafting, meetings and file analysis in Microsoft 365, and Klips for the always-on numbers. If your developers build MCP-based agents for Copilot, the Klips MCP server lets those agents work with your Klips data too.
