Manually exporting database queries to share with your team eats time you don't have. Connect Amazon Aurora to Klipfolio and your dashboards update automatically, so everyone sees the same data without waiting on you.

How to connect Amazon Aurora to Klipfolio

Before you start, add Klipfolio's IP addresses to your AWS DB security group. This is required for the connection to work.

  1. Click + beside Data Sources in the left navigation sidebar. Alternatively, go to Account Name > Data Sources > Create a New Data Source.
  2. On the Where is your data? page, select Amazon Aurora (AWS).
  3. On the Choose a pre-built or custom connection page, click Create a custom Amazon Aurora data source.
  4. Fill in your connection details: Host, Port, Database, Driver, Username, and Password.
  5. At SQL Query, enter the query that returns the data you need. Replace any placeholder values (for example,

    <databaseTable>

    ) with your own.
  6. At Columns, choose whether to include or exclude column headers.
  7. At Connection security, select Use SSL/TLS if required. You can optionally enable TLS v1.2 or turn off certificate validation (not recommended).
  8. If your database is behind a firewall, click Use an SSH tunnel and enter the required credentials.
  9. Click Get data and confirm the results look correct. Optionally select Model your data to shape the data before saving.
  10. Click Continue, then name your data source, set a refresh schedule, and optionally share it with teammates.
  11. Click Save.

Your data source is now available in the Data Source Library and ready to power custom Klips.
