How to connect BambooHR to Klipfolio

Connecting BambooHR requires your API key and company name. The setup takes about four steps.

Before you begin, confirm that your BambooHR account has API access enabled.

1. Find your BambooHR API key. Log in to BambooHR, click your profile picture in the upper right corner, select API Keys, then copy an existing key or create a new one.
2. Find your company name. Copy only the subdomain from your BambooHR URL. For example, from

3. Open the Connector Gallery in Klipfolio. Select BambooHR from the list of available services.
4. Authenticate. Paste your API key into the API Key field. Leave the Password field blank, then click Continue.

Some data requests also require a BambooHR Employee ID or Report ID. Find an Employee ID in the URL of any employee profile (

followed by the number). Find a Report ID at the end of the URL when viewing a saved report in BambooHR.
