How to connect Jira to Klipfolio

You'll need three things before you start: your Jira API token, the email address on your Atlassian account, and your Jira Base URL (for example,

Get your Jira API token

1. Log in to your Atlassian account and open the Atlassian API Token Manager.
2. Click Create API token.
3. Enter a label for your token and click Create.
4. Click Copy to clipboard and save the token somewhere secure — you won't be able to view it again after closing this window.

Connect using a pre-built data source

1. Go to the Service Connectors page in Klipfolio and select Jira.
2. Choose a pre-built data source from the left panel.
3. Enter your Jira account email and API token, then click Continue.
4. Enter your Jira Base URL and select your Service Desk from the drop-down if applicable.
5. Click Get data, review the results, and click Continue.
6. Name your data source, set a refresh schedule, and click Save.

Connect using a custom data source

1. Go to the Service Connectors page and select Jira.
2. Click Create a custom Jira data source.
3. Enter your Jira account email and API token, then click Continue.
4. Update the Query URL — replace placeholder values like

   <yourJiraUrl>

   with your actual Jira Base URL. Refer to the Jira API documentation for available endpoints.
5. Click Get data, review the results, and click Continue.
6. Name your data source, set a refresh schedule, and click Save.
