How to connect Box to Klipfolio
Connecting Box uses OAuth authentication. The setup takes about four steps.
- Click + beside Data Sources in the left navigation sidebar. If you don't see this option, go to the bottom of the sidebar and click your Account Name > Data Sources > Create a New Data Source.
- On the Where is your data? page, select Box.
- Click Sign in to Box and enter your Box credentials to authenticate.
- Use the file selection tool to choose your data file. If the file is inside a sub-folder, click the folder icon to browse its contents, then click Get data.
- Confirm the data preview, optionally select Model your data, then click Continue.
- Name your data source, set a refresh schedule, and click Save.
Your data source is now available in your Data Source Library and ready to use in Klips.
Having trouble? If you can't access shared folders or files, ask your Box administrator to enable External links to folders and files under Enterprise Settings > Content and Sharing, and set access to Open, Company and Collaborators.

How to build a Box dashboard
Once your data source is connected, you can build dashboards two ways:
Pre-built data requests: Select pre-built Box queries in the Connector Gallery to pull documents directly from your account with no custom configuration needed.
Custom data requests: Build your own Box queries in the Connector Gallery when you need to surface specific files, folders, or data structures.
