Data Engineer - Professional Services

As a Data Engineer - Professional Services, you will play a pivotal role in planning and executing complex customer data projects. Leveraging Klipfolio software, you will be responsible for creating metrics, building dashboards, configuring data connections, and ensuring seamless integration. As the subject matter expert you will also help our customers develop their understanding and ability to use our software by providing product coaching and training.

You will be accountable for:

• Planning and executing complex customer data projects using Klipfolio software.
• Creating metrics, building dashboards, and configuring data connections to meet customer requirements.
• Guiding and consulting with customers on defining project goals and scope.
• Providing product training and enablement to empower customers to use the software more independently.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Your Expertise:

• Strong customer interaction and requirements analysis skills.
• Proficient in web APIs (REST) and ability to work with various data integration tools.
• Strong technical skills in developing complex formulas for data visualizations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving proficiency with a keen attention to detail.
• Self-starter with effective time management skills.
• Experience working with SaaS or cloud-based software tools.
• STEM background via experience and/or education 

Nice to Have:

• Background working with or defining KPIs
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with SQL, Semantic Models, Metric Definitions.
• Proficiency in functions like VLOOKUP, JOIN, GROUP, GROUPBY, IF, WHERE.
• Previous experience working with Klipfolio or other BI or dashboarding applications.
• Experience tutoring or teaching complex technical concepts.
