How to connect Snowflake to Klipfolio
Before you start, add Klipfolio's IP addresses to your Snowflake security group.
- In Klipfolio, click + beside Data Sources in the left navigation sidebar. (If you don't see this option, go to Account Name > Data Sources > Create a New Data Source at the bottom of the sidebar.)
- On the Where is your data? page, select Snowflake.
- On the Configure your connection page, fill in the required fields: Account name (use the value under LOCATOR in Snowflake), Snowflake Region, Username, Private key, Role, Warehouse, Database, and Schema.
- Enter an SQL query to retrieve the data you want. You can test queries directly in Snowflake using a SQL worksheet.
- Choose whether to include or exclude column headers, then click Get data.
- Confirm the data looks right. Optionally select Model your data, then click Continue.
- Name your data source, set a refresh schedule, and optionally share it with your team.
- Click Save.
Your Snowflake data source is now available in your Data Source Library, ready to power custom Klips.
